Nat Geo show "Doomsday Preppers"

When she started running over the "obstacles" as part of her training my girl and I busted out laughing. I know SHE never claimed she worked out 4 hours a day but the lack of coordination required to clear those obstacles in the manner in which she did it was hysterical.

Yeah, when I saw that my thought was "Well, if she works out 4 hours a day like that she might still be in that kind of shape." She's a nutter and would most likely be food for someone, but it gave them a chance to discuss BOB's and INCH bags and the like.

Show # 2 was better. But the "Experts assessments" that the economy is not at risk from collapse OR hyperinflation are pure and total BULLCHIT!

The only reason they would say that is if.....

1.) They are NOT experts
or
2.) They are in the Obama camp and dont want to make him look bad

Oh and the FAT and stupid prepper stereotype thing has got to go. Sheeeesh!

Are you talking about the hippy from show #1? He was talking about using plants as medicine in case he gets cut from a knife fight and I couldn't help but smirk. If me and that guy got into a fight for our lives, he won't have to worry about cuts.

He also didn't have any first aid in his BOB, but had a like 15 knifes... wtf? I didn't know knifes needed to be reloaded, lol.


Oh and HUGEEEEEE +1 for the "experts" to recommend that he needed a gun!

If they don't want guns then its their choice. Much like we do not like hippies trying to ban guns and force their views on us, we shouldn't ever feel bad because someone doesn't want a gun or go as far to try to force them to own guns.

Anybody that claims to be preparing themselves for anything serious that doesn't include some kind of firearm, as long as they can legally/monetarily acquire one, is not realistically preparing themselves for anything.

A firearm is important for most responsible people under ideal conditions, let alone when starving armed looters start kicking down doors in the weeks following the breakdown of social order and the emptying of grocery store shelves.

The whole I'm better than that attitude that liberals have about guns is their own idiotic choice to recognize a problem and not address it with the proper tools, replacing it instead with a smug attitude and a dangerous disregard for half a millennium of firearm history, which is typical of their unrealistic world views as a whole.

I like the show just to see what other people are doing. The LA Guy in episode1, Christopher Nyerges has weekly classes in socal. I did a dirt time event back in 2008 and I took his edible plant class. Learned alot.

I love that he was talking about using plants that contained "aspirin" to place over his cuts. Why in the world would you want a platelet aggregate inhibitor on an open wound? Perhaps he likes bleeding...

It is a TV reality show not based in the facts. If anyone here thinks that those people are well prepared they won't last long.
