I think a pointed spear beats a club, at least when you run out of ammo.

How is sticking him on the rifle gonna help?

      Weird answer
Yes, duh! He's dreamy, you know you'd want him all over your rifle. I'd also like to stick Robert Pattinson on my glock, but I'd need to get his digits first

        2, 4 & 8. Buts that's just me.

I think the Sling is like having another hand. With that said another hand gets me a second item.
That makes the IR for me and the light for my buddy with the sling.

Now I know that doesn't pencil out but WTH

          From that list... #5

I've never touched half of the stuff on the list, but I am familiar with bayonets

Not on the list, BUT... in a true SHTF/EOTWAWKI scenario, I would also grab the "bullet button conversion kit"

I would go with either the ACOG or the IR sighting system. Most everything else either aught to already be in your BOB, is easily rigged up, or is a bit supurflous. Can't just make a scope out of readily available materials (well, some people might be able to) and seeing at night offers a tremendous advantage. Bayonets may look fearsome but are wholly ineffective. This isn't WWI, and if I'm close enough to stick someone (and not have the ammo to shoot them) then I don't want my blade tied up at the end of my rifle. Weapons lights, foregrips, etc are great, but not as essential as a NOD system, and an EO Tech is outstanding for clearing rooms, but doesn't have the range that the ACOG offers. If you don't have a flashlight, cleaning kit, and knife that is superior to any issued bayonet already in your BOB, then chances are you won't last past the first engagement with your tricked out rifle anyway.

              Hahahahaha,

You pegged me big time. I like watching people do their thing. Could spend hours watching.
In fact, when I go to the range I like to walk up and down the line watching people shoot their guns. Amazing what you can find and will let you shoot.

One time I asked a guy if I could shoot his SW 500 magnum. 1-shot, ouch.
