I think it's a bargain. You should definitely buy it and you better hurry before everyone else beats you to the punch or you won't have any water when you need it. It's only $7.34 per liter and with 3.785 liters per gallon, that comes out to $6,765,912 per gallon. Well it might as well be that much at over $7 per liter..

How about a machine that extracts humidity from the air and produces clean drinking water?

Issues
I have an old dehumidifier from when I lived on the coast a few years....not sure I'd want to drink that water. Lots of electric needed and if combined with a purifier......$$$$$$

Nine cases of water from Costco=90 day supply of drinking water for 36 bucks for one person. 64 ounces per day of water. Rotate out one case per month for 4 dollars. That's 48 dollars per year after the initial 36 dollars. Plus the date code on the bottled water is for three years.
Seems a lot better to me.LetsGoBrandon

The Sawyer stuff is excellent ... you just need to make sure you get the models rated for both microbe AND virus, like the one your recommend. I have the "bucket kit" they make ... good stuff.|

i know this is a stupid question, but why would anyone need to store water for 30 years?
i keep a couple of aquatainers filled up for earthquakes. once in a while, change the water out.
of course i have scads of water purifying stuff lying around for camping/mountaineering trips - including ye olde camp stove (for boiling).
that dehydrated water is the best!sigpicComment

My dad has a can of water, CA had a real bad fire season in '96 and the Budweiser plant in vaccaville shut down and canned water for a day. They gave it out to all of the firefighters. My dad kept his and has it on a shelf in his garage.Comment
