Hike 'n Shoot recommendations- SoCal?

Hey folks, I was curious if anyone knew a good spot to hike and do a little shooting in SoCal. I'm in Chino and can drive an hour or two in any direction, but I'm mostly looking for a quick day-trip spot so I don't want to go much further than that. I'm looking for a light-to-medium level hike where my girl and I can bring the rifles, maybe find a spot with some decent hills and valleys, set some targets down in a valley and do some 400-500+ yard target shooting from up high.

Any ideas/recommendations/favorite spots?

There's a pretty cool place out this way (Highland) up in the hills. About a 30 min drive down a forest service road.
