Hello, a grumpy veteran new to the forum signing in with a few questions. Been reading these posts and began wondering.
1) Is there a watchdog group keeping track of the whereabouts of the top 1% in the US?
If they start moving to their vacation homes in Switzerland en masse wouldn't that be a good indicator that the end of the world is nye?
2) Anybody here feel that a suburb is defensible? I have been chased out of my home by fires here in San Diego so that is my big fear post SHTF. Anybody got a neighbor with a fire engine?
3) If things do turn "Mad Max" in your neck of the woods will you try to trade your skills for food and shelter?
4) Anybody else here a caregiver for an elderly parent?

In 1929, there wasent any electricity or other services outside of the big cities to begin with. Many big cities had rolling blackouts after 1929 too.
The stock exchange did close many times and plenty of stockbrokers threw themselves out of windows.

I think a big problem that nobody has mentioned are the Mexican drug cartels. In the last four years there have been over 35,000 killed in Mexico. Some reports say that the cartels are operating out of over 200 US cities. If the SHTF i believe we will see the cartels take over many of these cities. Just something to consider planning for.

The people that have a knee jerk "tin foil hat" snarky response when someone mentions the sinister, intentional bankrupting of the middle class or the fraudulent case rolled out to us to garner support for what is now THREE wars (that we know of) also typically think TV news is real, Sarah Palin is a politician, and that it's okay to get microwaved and photographed naked at the goddamn airort to protect you from the Al Qeada boogeyman.

The pioneers take the arrows as we know. The truth can be a bloody ugly thing. Years ago the news and Limbaugh said the Bilderberg Group didn't exist. Now it's played off in the media as if it's just a smoochy good time retreat for all the power brokers. Even Judge Napolitano and Geraldo Rivera (both FOX News employees) question 9-11, specifically Building Seven. Now it's openly stated that we protect the opium fields in Afghanistan. All that was conspiracy theory. Now it's admitted.

The New World Order does exist, it is a cadre of psychopathic, humanity hating high octane finance oligarchs and servile stooges that see themselves as our Masters. They create chaos in the world so that they can step in with the solution to the problem they have created, thus appearing as out saviours, and further solidify their roles as master. The out of control snarl of derivatives fraud, the removal of Glass Steagal, the runaway debt and short selling of tangible, real world wealth is all part of the controlled demolition we see in front of us.

So before people plunk their fat corn syrup addicted carcasses down in front of their TVs to play another round of Guitar Hero with their fake plastic Chinese made mini Stratocaster, maybe they ought to look in to the dark truths of what is happening all around us.
