    Check out the Ka-Bar Mule...

Which is why I use and personally recommend a folding lock-back knife. You won't have any safety issues like the one mentioned above. And, using the Eagle sheath Ka-Bar includes, there are two retention devices (velcro & snap) holding the knife in the sheath. Using the method I recommended in my post, it's improbable that you'll have an accident that way (of course, not exluding user error). It's safe, you'll still have access to your knife if you need it quickly, and the Ka-Bar Mule is just as reliable as any of those small neck knives others have mentioned. --1911ShooterPhil

You can wear them anywhere, as long as they are exposed pc says exposed such as on a belt, not meaning IT HAS TO be on a belt

        Learned something new

        Plain View Sheath
An exception is section 25(d), which states that "knives carried in sheaths which are worn openly suspended from the waist of the wearer are not concealed within the meaning of this section." Except for schools and public meetings, there is no mention of blade length in the state laws for sheathed knives worn in public.
So on the waist is the one legal place to conceal a fixed-blade knife. Everywhere else on the body it must be in "Plain View".

This link shows a guy with a sog seal pup in a verticle position.

          Its a nice site.

The seal pup elite would probably work as well.

As would the spyderco aqua salt & Bill Moran knifes - I have these two and their sheaths would hold them in.

In CA a fixed must be visible on the waist, no matter the length if its over 2". Under 2" it can be concealed anywhere.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but this is how I read it.
