Nice. 3 sets of 3 sizes for $20

Might need to add to range bag and hunting gear.

Grab them with your fingers and twist counterclockwise. They'll let go rather than have their head twisted off.

        The Tick Key

Been using these for years with good results.
Same idea as the credit card method just a little more robust.

        Regards,
        Mike

I've used this many times and it works exactly like the video on their site shows.

I've also got a tick key like shown above but haven't used it.

            How to remove a tick
Use clean, fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick as close to the skin’s surface as possible.
Pull upward with steady, even pressure. Don’t twist or jerk the tick; this can cause the mouth-parts to break off and remain in the skin. If this happens, remove the mouth-parts with tweezers. If you cannot remove the mouth easily with tweezers, leave it alone and let the skin heal.
After removing the tick, thoroughly clean the bite area and your hands with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.
Never crush a tick with your fingers. Dispose of a live tick by
            Putting it in alcohol,
Placing it in a sealed bag/container,
Wrapping it tightly in tape, or
            Flushing it down the toilet.

            Follow-up
If you develop a rash or fever within several weeks of removing a tick, see your doctor:
Tell the doctor about your recent tick bite,
            When the bite occurred, and
Where you most likely acquired the tick.
            Testing of ticks

Never pull a tick with tweezers when you sqeeze them you are hypodermicly injecting its juice in to you .use a tick removal tool , rotate in circles till it slides free .never pull or squeeze .ihave removed over 100 ticks off my hounds & never left a head behind with the use of the tick twister tool .comes in a set of 3 sizes & is worth the $5 ticks are not something to mess around with in California

Best to remove ticks as soon as found. With available recourses. If you get a bullseye rash or unusual skin reaction. See a doctor.

If you burn or squish them you run the risk of them "throwing up into the wound" or however you describe that. A handful of years ago I got done deer hunting and while getting the top gate pulled my shirt out (was tucked in). M'fin tick was latched out below my belly button and I wouldn't have noticed had I not pulled my shirt out. I pulled him out easily as he wasn't dug in but the vaseline or something so they can't breath is what I would do.

As a kid I pulled probably hundreds of ticks off my dogs when we lived out in the country. I did many of those wrong but then again I was in like 2nd/3rd grade.

Thanks! Just ordered one each of the three options shown on their website. $16.35 USD and cheap insurance for sure.

Daughter had one on her back after a swim in Missouri. I just carefully pulled it off with sharp tweezers at the base of the head. Then cleaned the site with soap/hot water and dressed with neosporin and a tough fabric bandaid.
