Just ordered an Esee Izula 2 and another Esee 3 (non-serrated). Will post pics whenever they arrive! -

I rediscovered one of my old Swiss Army knives... one of the silver textured ones with four items, one blade. Now that I carry GEC, the SAK action feels gritty, soft, weird half-stops, etc... Not half-stops on mine except ONE out of the four (the bottle opener/flat head). The action has no snap, springs are anemic. I think GEC Farm and Field is 5x more knife, and a Boy's Knife or Beer Scout or similar is more fun to open bottle with. I'll clean mine and see if it is any better, but those springs are so weak. Anyone who likes traditional designs should try GEC.I just bought a couple of Swiss army knives. I believe it is a model called the Recruit. In any case, it's a basic model with the two blades and four other tools. I have found that these make their way into my pocket much more often than my folding knives did. They seem to be less scary to the general public and I find a lot of use with them. I even used one of them to put the license plate back on my car the other day. There were screws that needed to be tightened. I have forgotten how handy one of these can be.

Condor Skirmish
Got this today

Compared to the Becker Bk15, it’s pretty rough ~
Completely dull, uneven grind, uneven Micarta & dull off centered tip.
Paid the same for both, shame the 15 is discounted! The Skirmish will be sharpened and I’m sure it will be a fine blade, just overpriced to what I was hoping to replace. But at $75, it’s a solid full tang chunk of 1075 steel.
Edit: Demolished a new extra course Work Sharp belt getting into shape, but now shaving sharp!Last edited by jeffrice6; 11-13-2020, 1:36 AM.Leave a comment:

That's super cool!I picked up this original FSSF veteran owned V42.
It's not a utility knife, it's designed for one thing.
But for that one intended purpose, I have no doubt it would serve it's owner well.
It's comfortably retired now.
Knife came with his service-discharge papers, patches and some photographs.
I added the original Ulster folder (US marked) - they were used for Ski bindings as they had a rare (for the time) 1943 Phillips head screwdriver.
I collect WW2 fighting knives, this set-up is quite a special one.

This is a reproduction of the sticker the FSSF carried, the idea was to leave it on dead German and Italian soldiers -
It translates roughly to:
"The worse is yet to come."
(I'll find an original sticker at some point.)

These are turning out to be the "right" throwing knife for me.
They were on sale during that prime period for $39.99 for the 3 and wish I had gotten more, but they are on my shopping list there now and I'll keep an eye out for the next time they drop. At 11.5 inches plus they are just right for me to throw.Leave a comment:

My latest that I picked up a few weeks ago, is now my EDC knife:
Shop our M16 Family of folding knives collection. Elevate your kit with a classic lineup inspired by proven performance. Shop Now.
I like that it has a kydex sheath, multiple mounting options, and it "clicks" into the sheath. I can draw it quickly with my left hand in the event someone prevents me from drawing my edc gun with my right hand and basically just stab them until they withdraw.
It's good to have options.
It's also good to live in a state that doesn't have ****ed up knife laws like California. Because the blade is under 5.5" I can carry it almost anywhere.

Just received my Hogue/Sig Sauer EX-02 knife. Yes, that Hogue that makes grips for your firearms. After the whole benchmade fiasco, needed something to replace my adamas blade. Found out that Hogue made blades and decided to give it a shot. It has 3.75" blade, 154 CM steel and G10 grips. Usually I prefer thumb stub knives but wanted to give a flipper a try. It's about a medium weight, not too heavy but not too light.

Just received a Fellhoelter No One folder. Brian is one of my very best friends and an award winning custom maker (Cover of Blade magazine). He's a Tool Maker by training and his tolerances and attention to detail is amazing. He doesn't make many knives anymore as he's developed a line of bolt action pens (Fellhoelter Ti Bolt) that takes up most of his time.
This model is one he only made a few of. I decided I needed one a couple years ago when I was traveling for business (Pre Covid) as it's really solid and has a 3" blade, which, while smaller than I normally carry, is legal pretty much anywhere except NY (it's a lock blade).
It's got a flat ground CPM154 blade with a beautiful hand rubbed finish. It's a liner lock design with Lightening Strike Carbon Fiber scales and checkered Ti bolsters that are anodized a nice bronze color. The clip is Brian's super deep design and has no visible screws. It's a beautiful little gem, but a very capable knife in a small form factor.
