Microtech Bounty Hunter ? Am I stuck with it?

I picked up a Microtech Bounty Hunter from out of state. I always wanted a OTF. I had the chance to legally buy one. Pulled the triger and spent more money then I should have. $300! For a knife that I can only look at or play with at home. Thanks California!

So Am I stuck with this? I know its legal to own. Just not carry it on me. I cant sell it. But can I offer it as trade? Since it is considered a collectable knife.

Can I find a police officer or member of the Armed Forces to sell or trade. I do believe Police and members of the armed forces can legally purchase auto knives?

there is no exemption for you to sell to an LEO or .mil in CA.

I just read the knife law sticky. I see that I'm stuck with it.

No this is a real microtech not a clone. It was purchased from a authorized microtech dealer. Microtech does not list the star wars series on their website. It is not a regular production knife. They do show it in their Facebook page.

You only paid $10 more then BladeHQ is asking for that model so you didn't do bad. Microtech have always ask a lot for their knives. I have a CA legal OTF from them that I really like. If you hold on to it for a few years and then sell it out of state you will probably make some money on it.

Can sell or pawn it out of state. It's legal to transport as long as it's in a locked case. Basically gun rules apply.

Unfortunately CA knife laws are just as asinine aa our gun laws. It's actually a very desirable knife, so sell it on the knife forums such as USN, BladeForums, or JerzeeDevil.
