WTB: STEEL buffer tube for AR (.50 Build)

Haven't been able to find one available and don't know anyone who makes them other than the now defunct Bohica camp... Anyone have one or know who makes one? Thanks in advance!

I'm just curious as to why you need a receiver extension made out of steel.

It your .50 makes enough recoil to bend an aluminum buffer tube, you've got bigger problems than a bent buffer tube...

The receiver extension on a .50 conversion is only there to provide a place for the bolt to go when retracted. There is actually zero stress that the tube undergoes. It could literally be made of plastic and suffer no ill effects whatsoever.

Not quite right, the recoil forces go from the upper, to the buffer tube, to the butt pad, to your shoulder.

You don't want a noodle for a buffer tube on a .50 but if there is enough recoil force to bend your aluminum buffer tube it will probably break your collar bone or dislocate your shoulder.

thanks for the input. I suppose i actually agree, if I bend an aluminum buffer tube, I'd be in a world of hurt. Must say, I am glad I spent the money for my AR-50. My Bohica build will need alot of tuning to even be enjoyable.... request aborted

Since your Bohica's barrel is threaded at the muzzle the same as the AR-50, your problem is easily solved for a couple of hundred bucks. Just order an AR-50 MB from ArmaLite, and your Bohica will behave exactly like your AR when you set one off. Promise.

EDIT: just remember that the blast wave from your Bohica will now be exactly like your ArmaLite's: potent, concussive, able to kill small animals & make enemies out of adjacent shooters at the range!
