          There is nothing that requires you to allow the ATF into your home for any sort of inspection. Yes, your paperwork and the C&R collection itself is open to inspection, but at your choice it can be done at either the address on the license or at the local ATF field office.

              That's true. They still do come to your house though, or try to, and then you have to deal with them like you would with a vampire - don't invite them in and such. You're probably right, but it'll just take me a while to be comfortable with it, and, well, given the FFL transfer fees, it makes me much more careful when buying guns. Otherwise I'd probably have tons of C&Rs in every nook and cranny of my apartment

              In the meantime, I'll keep paying my FFL dealer. He's a good guy, and his fees are reasonable, so he deserves my support.
