I really want to thank all of you who contacted me to help me out. This is by far the most outstanding website I've ever used with the kindest and most helpful members imaginable. Thanks again.

This .45 was brought back from the South Pacific by my Dad who was a P-38 pilot. Serial number 2142113. The guys at Turners gun shop in Long Beach said it was in at least an "80%" condition. Sale includes original shoulder holster and three magazines [I don't know whether the magazines are original or not]. I'm asking $1,800 OBO. Wouldn't sell it in a million years but an emergency forces me to do it as soon as possible. If a buyer offers to resell it back to me within a year at $1,000 profit for them should I be in a position to buy it back I will consider that positively when I consider any offers.

It might help if you would note how the barrel and
mags are marked. Look on the top (toe) of the mag floorplate.
