There seems to be a minority of users here lacking a basic understanding of business etiquette.

Case in point: Buyer X in Redding, CA sends me a DM last week expressing interest in my shotgun. He offers his phone number and I contact him. We exchange texts and claims he had a perfect feedback score before the data migration.. OK.. He then says he will pay full price if I drive up 2/3 of the way to meet him in Chico (I am in Sacramento).. I said sure, and we agreed to meet Tuesday, 10/2.
The weekend goes by, no word from the guy. Monday arrives, still nothing. Meanwhile I’m thinking, there is no way I am going to fly blind for 90 miles and 5 hours.
At that point I knew the guy had backed out, but I still texted him asking if we were still on and whether he had made an appointment at his preferred FFL. No reply. Tried calling him. No answer no call back. Sent him a PM here, no response.
Typical bum kicking tires, going to the trouble of negotiating a price and date only to ghost you. At the very least why not give seller the courtesy of saying hey, I’m no longer interested but thanks anyway.
I mean how hard could that be? From now on, unless I receive an ‘I’ll take it” and buyer actually makes the appointment, then its no deal.
