    These are not AP.

I have black tips from Israel in 9mm and they are not AP either.

Yes they ARE AP rounds. Matter of fact these are actually pulldown USGI 700 gr AP tips most likely from WWII/Korean war era demilled ammo. The demilling mark is evident on the tips.

I beg to differ. They are APs. They are perfectly legal in Ca. but, they are APs. You are close enough to me that I will offer to show you a few of mine. I can load them in virgin Israely brass if you want me to. Or, you can buy the ones posted here and prove me and everyone else wrong. After all, most of us that have posted in this thread only own one, two or three 50s so, we're not experts.

          That's 9mm. This is 50BMG.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

            Sydwaiz,

Nice range pick ups. I'm assuming they were shot at steel plates?
Since everyone else pointed out why these are AP reloads, I won't bother!
The cores were recovered from 1000yds shot at a 5/8" steel plate. The first two were found in front of the target, the last one passed the target, and the third in front as well. The third appears to have been an AP that wasn't hardened properly.

Here's an M33/ball projo that hit the 2000yd steel. The shiney copper disk above it, is what remains of an AMAX bullet...
