    This is a steal! If I didn't already have 2000 AP projos, I'd be all over this. Just a warning to some. This is AP and, therefore, many ranges in Ca. will not let you shoot it since it has a steel core. But, it's a great price and a quality product never the less.

        All milsurp 50 BMG is steel core, even Ball. Just some are designed be AP

        You have to buy from one of the few civilian manufactures (like the ones that make the solid machined brass round) to get ones that are not steel core.

          Really. We were shooting ball ammo at 3/4" steel plate a few years back and it wouldn't penetrate. It'd put a big dent in the plate and the projo would get stuck.

          Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
          And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

            These are obviously reloads from pull down tips and the Izzy pulldown brass that was on the market. Which is OK, but can you tell us the powder charge and type used? Loading to M2HB standards is a little too much for most bolt rifles.

              Blue,
              It is correct that mil .50 ball has a steel core. The difference is the AP rounds have a hardened core where the ball tips do not.

                Ball = soft steel core.
                AP = hardened steel core.

                eta: doh! a minute late.

                          Sydwaiz,

                          Nice range pick ups. I'm assuming they were shot at steel plates?

                              It's some local ordinance. Hopefully, someone in Napa can provide a link or at least qoute it.
