To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms, disarm only those who are neither inclined, nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
-- Thomas Jefferson, 1764

Well, they DO ask if it "could be considered potentially dangerous". An extremely vague generalization at best in my opinion! I guess it could be potentially dangerous since it could be assembled into a working firearm lol.
However, a stick in the eye is potentially dangerous too (in my opinion anyway), but I don't know of any laws against mailing sticks... heh
In regards to the OP's question though, the magic 8 ball says "NO"...Robert...

I have a story for you Frank!
This is a story about something that I personally witnessed! Not some second hand story from my cousin's step brother's ex husband's son in law
I was in line at the Post Office one day about 2 months ago. A guy, about 5 people in front of me was mailing a rather large package. It was his turn to step up to the counter and after he placed the package on the counter was asked the standard questions anout the contents.
He rattled off some technical term that I couldn't quite make out as I really wasn't paying attention at this point. The teller didn't understand the description that the gave and asked for details of which he didn't know either because he was going off the "product description" that was on the item.
The teller told him that they couldn't accept the package because they needed to know what was inside. He got pissed off, said a few choice words and said that he would just mail it somewhere else, and stormed out. The teller then asked one of the guys in the back to call the next nearest Post Office and warn them to be on the look out for this guy. He was obviously a terrorist mailing small pox or something
Those of us still in line were actually pretty disgusted with the outstanding customer service.
So, now I know to keep my answers short, simple and hopefully stupid proof

I've mailed plenty of these. Its not illegal.A citizen who shirks his duty to contribute to the security of his community is little better than the criminal who threatens it.Comment
