    How to legally ship ammo

    Hi all,

I will soon be posting an ad to sell some ammo.

My question is how can I legally ship it. Can I use USPS, UPS or FedEx?

I hope someone here is familiar with the rules and can clue me in.

    Thanks

Why not just sell it face to face (FTF)??
    Kinda saves you the trouble.

UPS Store (not the video store that is a UPS Drop-Off point but a real "UPS Store") is what I've used.

Also this isn't really the place to post this, general discussion or the ammo section would be better.

You can use the ups warehouse, not the ups store , it has to be an actual warehouse. and you can only ship Ammo Ground i belive .

If you have an account with UPS they will pickup from your location. You just have to make sure that you have the ORMD ammunition labels on the package.

              No United States Postal Service?

Sorry, I am not selling the ammo now.

Where are you located? You could probably find a local buyer.

Question is continually asked here over and over every few weeks or so.

                  Options are
                  1) UPS ground up to 66 pounds, with an official ORM-D for small cartridges label that you can download and print, and only at a main UPS run/owned hub, not the service centers located everywhere. You must declare it, then be expected to have the 300 lb black lady with diabetes sitting in a stool and eating a cup cake say you can not do that. Use the UPS hazmat shipping number and have here call it between bites out of the cup cake {800-554-9964) to get her to read the manual and comply with the work place rules.

                  2) FedEx if you are a valued customer with an account. This is hit or miss as some people do not have success with this.

                  3) Use either UPS or FedEx or common carrier and pay an outrageous hazmat fee of like hundred to hundreds of dollars.

                  4) Just keep quiet and ship it. Slap on the ORM-D label and don't use USPS so you are not in violation of Federal Law. You could be in violation of UPS, FedEx, or common carrier policy but would not get into trouble with the law supposedly (and no one has proven otherwise).

I vote for (1) if possible.

Oh, ya, forgot to mention, use the stinking search button, will ya!

You see, this won't work for me. The UPS where I live only employs 300lb white ladies. I'm curious, was she eating just a cup cake or also watermelon and chicken?

You are required to declare what the package contains according to UPS policy. Don't lie when shipping guns or ammo.

That ORM-d Sticker is hard to find so make sure you get it from ar15.com from xerxes provided link.

Hey, somebody in that thread linked to my PDF's of ORM-D stickers via Parallax Bill's C&R forum. I also posted them all here on Calguns...
