Not PSA but looks like a pretty good deal.

They make money by putting out incredible deals at incredible prices, while others continue to price gouge. This builds them an network of loyal customers. That's how they make money.

What's $20 when they got free shipping right now? Only $6 different from right now vs. Black Friday.

They had the same thing on sale last couple of days for $450 and I almost got it then. I'm weak.

Except this one is not PTAC but is a PSA. With front and rear sights!

I bought the same one this morning, lets hope the PSA rear sight performs well.

PTAC from what I understand is Palmetto Tactical. Its Palmettos instore brand, but they use lower quality parts for it. Ive heard several people testify how good it is but just know some of the parts aren't milspec - non-chrome lined barrels, 8620 BCG's etc.

I don't know, I paid about $375 for each for a chf 16" dissi and chf 14.7 as one of their daily deals a month or two back, hard to top that!

                      This is incorrect.

From the horse's mouth on ar15.com (LINK):

Practical Tactical AR Parts (P-TAC) is a brand new startup company focusing on the bare essentials of the AR parts world. Their motto “Everything you need and nothing else” sums up there product and company model. P-TAC produces a mid-level quality product so that the rock bottom prices can be passed on to the consumer. Recently, Palmetto State Armory proudly excepted the role as an exclusive dealer of P-TAC parts to include multiple product lines including lower parts and build kits, uppers, bolt carrier groups, and charging handles just to name a few. The quality of these products is still guaranteed, it’s just the frills that have been removed!

Of course in the thread referenced on ARF, PSA also said they don't manufacture the PTAC LPK, they just sell them. Well, PSA doesn't manufacture the PSA LPK either so that really doesn't mean much. And PSA is the exclusive dealer of PTAC. And no one knows anything about PTAC except PSA. Right.

I've never heard or read that anywhere (with any amount of reliability)... I'm on their email list (as are many of us) and received initial notice when they introduced this brand - quite a while back... It's a cost-effective alternative to higher end parts... But it isn't PSA.

I'm curious, where did you get the idea that it's Palmetto Tactical?

BTW, I use P-TAC LPK on one of my ARs - no problems.

I would bet that for most of us (range shootist, plinkers) P-TAC gear would last a long time. Including myself.

Not for us gear snobs. When I exit my Hummer at Burro Canyon I let it be known to all the rabble that an operator has arrived. I enjoy taking my spot on the line and uncasing my 3K AR build with the newest model Acog. The poor saps to either side with their PSA and Stag junk drool as I toss a case of premium ammo onto the table to plink with. Maybe if I am feeling a little generous I will leave a few hundred rounds behind for the little folk to squawk over. I have to make my afternoon round of golf with my new custom fitted 2K golf clubs.

(The fact that I can't shoot or play golf worth a damn is NONE of your business)
