One they ditch it in your garage, probably still on the pallet. The other they install it in your house. If you've got a couple friends who are willing to help you muscle the safe inside in exchange for some food/alcohol you can go with just the garage.

Wow, the white glove is $400, that makes liberty safe's $150 installation a better choice for those who can't install themselves

For those of you asking about the DSG safe......

I got the deal LAST YEAR before black friday week at the Bakersfield store (but all DSG's had the sale).

It was the 24 Gun as Elwood posted.

It was in the Sunday ad the weekend BEFORE black friday and they also had a special display sign at the gun counter. It was a pre-order (they didn't have any in stock) and it took about 2 weeks to get in.

I didn't do delivery as it was too expensive. Picked up in front of the store with my 1/2 ton truck. The DSG guys loaded it in on it's back. Then when home I had a couple family members (65 yr old outa shape guys) help me get it outa the truck and over the threshold (using a small hand dolly). It weighs 410 lbs but once balanced on the dolly, I could move it pretty much myself.

Thanks for all the info. Witch style Lock do you have? Can you get the key code type or just the combination style?

I talked with a Liberty rep the other day. He was unable to saw a $ but stated there will be a sale. Staying tuned to see the saving to be found.

Last year Tractor Supply's Winchester 24 gun safe went on sale for $550. Regular $700. It's 12 GA steel, 500# and about 5 foot tall. The best part is it has 12 1.25" locking bolts 5 on a side and one each top and bottom. Curbside delivery.

I haven't seen their new Black Friday ad yet, but I am hoping this one will be on there.

The first post 16 gun Stack-ON. I bought one last year cheaper on sale at my local Dicks. The delivery options were way cheaper than prices quoted in this thread. Dicks contracts with local deliverers and prices will vary with store location, you have to ask at your local store about prices.

I think it was $100 (or $200 if they had to move it up any stairs. For stairs, one extra delivery company employee comes along in the delivery truck, he gets the extra $100). Either price they would bring it inside, place it where you want and remove the packing and haul it away.

For heavier safes, yet another one more employees necessary, at $100 each. Really heavy safes 2 more @ $200 additional.

The $100 price was for the same 168 pounds Stack-on 16 gun safe in message #1.

The deliverers did not work for Dicks but Dicks collected the money in advance and provided the sign up papers of the delivery company. This was done at cash register when buying the safe. You can decline and arrange for your delivery.

I looked up shipping and it would cost over 300 to ship

Probably because their nearest location is is far from you. It may be a lot cheaper for the members north of the SFV to get one from the Bakersfield location, etc.

same for me. Kinda takes it out of the running as it looks to be a decent safe. I am leaning towards the costco as no shipping!

I live in the Bakersfield-Visalia area...what would be the best deal for me? I am looking to spend $600...I was leaning towards a Liberty safe since they offer lifetime warranty specifically the Centurion model. What's is your guys experience with this model? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I am looking for a good quality safe to be on sale. None of this composite crap.
