Funny idea-
I actually have found a few good forums when a web search took me to the site.

I like buying items locally and selling locally as shipping is a PITA.
Sometime I can get more for an item as without shipping I can charge a bit more and the buyer pays less as they did not have to pay shipping.

It's funny cause I travel between WA, OR, Nev and live in CA. I go on many websites from any of these states since I travel through them. I don't see any real bargains in any of the other states and they are in the same boat we are when it comes to buying power and stock. Particularly Ammo. In fact, I order and visit other shops and see the price of Ammunition much higher than here in CA.

It would be much more difficult to do this if you locked me into only being able to log into a particular forum or part of a forum just to be able to see what's going on in these forums in other states.

That's kind of like forcing me to use a bullet button on my Armorlite Rifles. Kind of idiotic huh?

Here's one thing to consider....

If you make this forum private and force people to become a member to see the deals, that'll just mean more people bogging down the servers and making the site run slower. Thus, what make have taken seconds before to find something, could enivitably take longer and you end up missing out on the deal.

Bandwidth is one thing, when viewing the pages. It's another when you have tons of members online at the same time, using the server resources on the site.

Funny how people blaming nonmembers for buying up stock, half the deals posted are OOS before a CG OP posts the thread, could this mean there is an entire nation (on other boards) buying up inventory before you do?
