Well Calguns aint the only one with free info on Deals, Sales and Coupons. There's also slickguns and many more. I think the issue here is that one is trying to limit the forum to certain individuals fearing too many are viewing info here and buying up stock. Anyway this thread should have been locked out or closed already.

Let me explain it a different way:
Who posts all the deals on this sub-forum (Deals, Sales and Coupons)? We (members) do.
Who does the legwork and posts current ammo stock updates for Wal-mart, Turner's and other stores as soon as they see something? We (members) do.
Non-members simply hangout here, refresh the page, and head over to the latest deal, be it online or at a store near them. No contributions made, no legwork done to help out the members.
Liming how many people can see this forum is hard because, as I mentioned in an earlier response, all one has to do is sign up and sign in.
I think we all must keep in mind that we are all trying to get a piece of the same pie. And our numbers have increased while the pie remains more or less the same (while having become more expensive). Choose your own strategy. I personally no longer buy ammo at the brick & mortar stores and prefer to shop online when needed as I find it to be the fair thing to do.

Funny how people blaming nonmembers for buying up stock, half the deals posted are OOS before a CG OP posts the thread, could this mean there is an entire nation (on other boards) buying up inventory before you do?Comment

Although its a CA forum, anyone with a computer can see this site. Someone in Kentucky who knows about calguns can benefit from some great ammo deal without having to become a member.
there could be many other sites that could be listing the deal too.
A benefit is maybe if its limited to members to see, more CA people can get in on a deal maybe someone can think of some cons as im watching resident evil lol2 HANDGUNS STOLEN! 1 RECOVERED READ HERE

Sounds like a decent idea but will never fly as Calguns gets a lot of traffic due to the information this sections provides. Having a separate section for contributors, post count, etc for the sites vender deals is a win win in my opinion.Comment

It's funny cause I travel between WA, OR, Nev and live in CA. I go on many websites from any of these states since I travel through them. I don't see any real bargains in any of the other states and they are in the same boat we are when it comes to buying power and stock. Particularly Ammo. In fact, I order and visit other shops and see the price of Ammunition much higher than here in CA.
It would be much more difficult to do this if you locked me into only being able to log into a particular forum or part of a forum just to be able to see what's going on in these forums in other states.
That's kind of like forcing me to use a bullet button on my Armorlite Rifles. Kind of idiotic huh?

I see no benefit in privatizing this section when sites like slickguns.com already post deals. ARFCOM also lists deals in different areas.
Anyway, there haven't been any deals for 4 months, so who ****** cares.
