    Natchez - 250 rounds for $94.90 (+s/h) Federal Premium 12ga Slug 1-3/8oz

25 rounds of Federal Premium LE Tactical Door Breach Slug 12gauge 1-3/8 oz 10 boxes for $94.90 plus shipping, but you have to buy 10 boxes. Shipping is kind of pricey but it is 'in stock.'
    Natchez

Don't believe the 'retail' price. Not bad compared to Walmart Winchester Slugs were about $12/box + tax if I recall correctly before the panic. I went to two Walmarts and they had nothing in stock, so if you are looking, this isn't too far off pre-panic prices.

Natchez also has some non-reloadable 45acp and 44mag Blazers 'in stock.'

Hope this helps. This was also posted on SG.

What else can you use a frangible slug for?

Taken from [dead link] Before you begin to read this realize that all of these shots were taken from a known distance and angle into bare Ordinance Gelatin in a controlled environment. This does not take into consideration the effects clothing, weather, range, temperature, cover, or body...

      last tested item.

Likely an excellent load for those concerned with over-penetration in a crowded urban environment while still needing the relative accuracy associated with a single projectile, we'd have no reservations endorsing this load as a medium range precision 12 gauge round.

This being said, poor penetration characteristics of the slug should be taken into serious consideration.

            FYI!!!!

the frangible slug they tested at BOT penetrated 10 layers of drywall! No idea if these will do the same. RTWT.

                52 cents per round.
                Subtotal Items: $759.20
                Shipping: $272.41
                Order Total: $1031.61

                It isn't designed for semi-autos.
"The cartridge is functional with the Mossberg 500/590 and the Remington 870 shotguns. The cartridges will be tested in the XM62 Modular Accessory Shotgun System as part of the product qualification testing for the weapon."

I think it will at least cycle a semi-auto shotgun with an adjustable gas system. Since the recoil energy is greater than a low recoil slug. The only unknown factor is long range accuracy.
