I am glad you got a suggestion from Kutz. I'm in so cal and could not help there.

Please name the shop that did not bother to check the Roster before opening their mouth. Every one who is into guns and most certainly any gun dealer with any experience knows that FN High Power has been and is on roster.

Here is the line from the Roster:

    FN HP-SA / Steel Pistol 4.66" 9mm 1/1/2018

Glad that transfer fee is going to one who know his business.
    Good luck to you.

You can always come up to Angles camp to the dealer I PM'd ya.
      Sorry this is happening.

Mine was up today, going down on Sat to pick it up. No issues.

      On the Roster its
      FN HP-SA / Steel Pistol 4.66" 9mm 1/1/2018
      Clear as day.

Its really sad how many lousy dealers there are in this state.

I just got an email response from an FFL in Santa Clara called Farwest. He is pretty close to me, being that I'm in Monterey He said it shouldn't be an issue and will get back to me tomorrow. If he will not do it, i will call the guy in Angels Camp. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for all the help you guys! The guy who said it was a no go is from Armory Outpost

Ron at Armory Outpost is a great guy, but he does get skittish about roster stuff. I can't blame him though....he does some of the cheapest transfers around and so does quite a bit of them.

I use Tom at MadRiverArms down in Riverbank to do my transfers. Have no problems whatsoever.

Calguns is such a great community. Proud to be a member. I remember a sales thread several years back. One of our members had lost his child and was selling to fund the funeral. I think that gun sold for over six thousand dollars. We got ahold of his paypal account and tried to fill it up. Cheers to Calguns and the admins who helped that day.
May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us,
              May God turn their hearts.
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
              May He turn their ankles
So we will know them by their limping.

Let us know what David says. If he can do it, I'm in for one as well. Just did a transfer with him a few days ago - very smooth and outstanding guy!

Just got mine in hand. Pics and review tomorrow. Cleaning it now, taking it out after church to run it.
One thing I can say, barrel is good-excellent, parkerizing is 90-95%, but the trigger is atrocious. A good cleaning should help, Im also thinking of pulling the magazine safety right now as well.
                  Beautiful gun though!

I have two of these.....and pulled the mag disconnects on both of them. The difference in trigger pull was YUGE, and I am somewhat picky about my triggers.

So here is a quick review.
I picked mine up last Sat from jail and basically did a quick oil, then out to shoot it.
Park job could have been a little better, as it looks as if it was done then left laying on a rack, some imperfections. Grips are nice, barrel and gun are matching #'s, and the rifles and lands are nice and clear after a cleaning. It appears its been sitting a while.

The trigger was horrible to say the least, on the scale it was around 10lbs, gritty and a long pull. Even after shooting it it remained horrible
Now the magazines Im using are the original parked browning ones, so if you know Hipowers you know the magazine disconnect safety is a square plate that was also parked, so the two rubbing together made a lot of friction, basically making the sandy feel on the trigger.
I took it home, cleaned it really nice, then took out the disconnect. Some Hipowers do not require you to take out the entire trigger assembly to remove it, but this one did. Not a big deal. Ten minute job.
The trigger really felt nice but I was interested to see how it shoots.
I took it out and ran around 300rds though it without only one fail to feed which was a magazine based issue. Except for that it ran like a top, was accurate for the fixed sights, and a blast to shoot.

I have completely fell in love with it, and have plans to shoot it again tomorrow. Great gun! I would not hesitate to purchase one before these are gone. Its getting harder and harder to find mil spec versions of the Hipower in California.
I paid for a hand pick because I wanted to make sure I got a lanyard ring and spurred not rounded hammer.

                          Couple quick pics.

Parallax told me they can't since it's an Mk2 and they've had trouble with that particular model before.

Glockstore just told me they can't since it's refinished and therefore not on the roster.
