It just makes a longer lever and allows actuation of the AK magazine release with the bullet button installed. Curve part goes toward the muzzle.

Had a chance to use the tool recently and really like it. Will probably end up buying a couple more.

No picture but there is a slot at the top of the tool that fits perfectly with the mag release lever. I am working with a solar tactical BB. The way the tool is shaped, it fits nicely with the AK magazines, I was using the 10 rd tapcos.

Once the mag release lever is engaged with the tool its one easy movement to flip the lever and drop the mag.

For those of you using this tool, where do you keep it for easy access in a SHTF? On your person with a lanyard, on your keys, something else?
