would hate to have to send my lowers back but I may have to :/. I Just order them this week. 04-19-2013 7075-T6 one BLACK one Flat Dark Earth. I do not like the look or fit of drill press lowers I have seen if i can not get a CNC. What is you next move?

We don't understand the logic and we're not sure to what extent they explained it, if at all. If simply renting a CNC out is illegal, it seems that by extension, they could make the claim that renting a drill press, or any tool for that matter, for the purposes of finishing a lower is illegal. A lawsuit could probably clear this up, but we would need some pretty deep pockets for that. Government has unlimited financial resources unfortunately.

Our next move is to work on making a really good tutorial on how to use our jig with a drill press. It's much easier than most people think to finish one at home, and if your patient you can get pretty nice looking results.

Other than that, there's not much we can do short of very expensive litigation.

Thank you for the offer, we really appreciate it. 80% CNC Rental's machine that was used for build parties is being acquired by 80% Arms and repurposed to produce jigs. This is a big setback, but not the end of the world. We have some very unique AR related products coming out later this year that will be rather game changing, so stay tuned.

Build parties brought in lot more business for us than jigs ever have, believe me. Now that build parties are a no go, jigs are the only viable way of completing a lower, so yes, of course we recommend purchasing a jig.

So basically, the ATF is saying I can't loan my bro-in-law a drill bit for him to use to finish his lower.

                      W...T...F?!!!??

I would like to see the wording in this letter. I do not see any postings on the web about this as of yet. Only the old news reports about 80% party's that we have all seen.

We're working with another local company to provide machining rental for our customers at a price point comparable to what 80% CNC Rentals offered. More details coming...

                                What about engraving???
Shouldn't be a problem on completed lowers right since the work has already been done?
