A funny thought just hit me. When all the folks that think it will be a madhouse don't go, there should be lots of ammunition for those that do.

If anyone wants to buy ammunition for me, I'll meet you there and pay you $40 for the favor, plus cost of ammo of course. Looking for a couple thousand rounds of .223 and maybe 1k .308. Let me know Im in the Bay, getting to grass valley at 4:30 am is basically out of the question.

If possible, go today. There’s a bicycle race tomorrow, featuring Lance Armstrong. The town will be a zoo (30k to 50k people expected). Fortunately the race course and Miwall are on opposite sides of town.

Lance needs ammo, too? I'd like to see how he's going to get a couple of cases of .556 on his bike.

I have allways wanted to go to this sale, but wasnt sure if it was worth the drive from Redding. I would sure appreciate hearing what you find at the sale. I used to come down for the wild deals at wildsports, but those days are over.

Sounds awesome! I think I will just reload some more of my own ammo in my garage for Father's day.

I drove all the way up there to go to the range for the fathers day sale, got up there at 9:30am, and we could barely drive down the street there are so many cars/people. We just turned around and left..

Boy I was mad.. Still am, that I didnt catch this ad beforehand, seriously, what is the deal with the ammo people? Is there that many people with tinfoil hats still believing that Obama is going to wave his magic wand and put a 500% tax on ammo?

I wish people with quit hoarding.. All I wanted was a box of 9mm and .45

                    1 friggin box..

Thanks for the report. I'm glad made the decision to turn around at the interstate. I've been battling a cold and that would have put me over the top. Time to go make another ammo purchase via the internet from the comfort of my home.

I emailed Miwall last week to see if it would be worth coming up there from SF on Sunday since I have to work today. I told them I'd be looking mainly for .223 reloads or tactical and I was worried that they wouldn't have any left.
                        They emailed me back:

"We do have a lot of 223 so it should last. Sorry but we are not quoting prices.

                        Thank You

                        Miwall Corp."

And I have to say that at the Cow Palace for the last two gunshows it was a madhouse, but they still had stocked shelves by 2 when I left (unfortunately, it took 2 hrs at the booth first thing in the morning to get served).

Dude, good luck with that, I placed an order with Cabella's 3 months ago for the cheapest .223 I could find and the backorder date has been extended now for the 4th time. There now saying maybe mid-August.

I was there .. prices were not great .. they were not even good. $275/1k 9mm reloads .. $389/1k was the cheapest .45 ACP (Aguila) .. reloads were $89.99/250. Overall I left feeling abused by people I used to trust. They can get away with it .. I was customer # 863 and that was somewhere around noon. $1600 got me 4k rounds, 5k primers and a couple of cheap pistol boxes.

Out of curiosity, what time did you show up and how long was the wait in line? Did it appear that Miwall was ready for hoard of ammo buyers?
