Yup. That's going to be the case. Alas, it means there won't be nothing good there to see or buy except visiting the shooting range next door.

This is an annual event and I just figured to give my fellow Calgunners a heads up by posting the information. I'm personally okay for ammunition. However, if anyone does go, please let us know how it was.

srsly. I was thinking about going, but, I'd rather not wait in line for nothing, just to piss my self off and be dissapointed. I predict pandemonium.

Miwall was the major ammo dealer at the Crossroads show down here in the OC a couple of weeks ago. The show opened at 9am. I bought my ticket online the night before and got there at 7:30am and was about 100-125th or so in line. Usual conversations among gun-owners waiting in line occurred until about 8:45am, interrupted occasionally by the request, "Could you hold my place? That coffee and bran muffin I just ate is catching up to me..." The show staffers went up and down the line a few minutes before 9am and announced which buildings had the big ammo dealers (Miwall had two big booths, one in each of the first two buildings). When they started letting folks into the show, I could see them at a FULL RUN to the ammo booths. When I got to Miwall's, it was a madhouse (think Charlton Heston's cry in "Planet of the Apes") but after about another hour at the booth I was able to get my purchase and get out of there.

Funny thing was that Miwall's was actually very prepared for that show. About 3pm that afternoon after the ammo crowds had died down I went past and found that most of what I had bought in the morning was still available.
