    I'll pass...

Anyways, I have been seeing more of the defense oriented 12 and 20ga ammo at Walmarts. Especially slugs and 20ga buckshot or slugs. I thought 12ga 00 buckshot was kind of rare these days? When they are available,I see 15rounds of Winchester 12ga 00 buck at like $9. Much better price than most gun shops.

The wierd sizes like 3 1/2" 12ga 00buck and .410 slugs tend to sit.

Also strange is that I saw like 20-30 of some 50rd boxes the other day at Wal Mart of Rem lightning at $1.97, surprised they sat for awhile. I see they have $1.47 federal lightning 50rd boxes but I have never been able to score any. Also strangely I was at Lakewood recently and there was like 100 boxes of .22magnum ammo.

A good portion of it was missing last time I checked, .22mag ammo availablilty at WalMarts is usually quite good. Guess people just buy some when they strike out on other calibers if they have .22mag firearms. I've done so sometimes as I have 3 such firearms.

I'm also surprised desperate for ammo people don't buy the 50rd boxes of rem .22short at $3.19 and fire them in .22lr revolvers and .22lr single shots and such.

Heres a hot tip. For those willing to pay the speculative/gouge rates for resold WalMart .22lr bricks either on CG or on gunbroker, Norwalk KMart has 500rd bricks of Winchester dyna point at $30 a box, about the same price you see fed 550rd bulk pack being resold on here. I suppose if you are desperate enough for some ammo this could be an ok alternative.

Yeah, I was calling around a little while ago seeing which local stores carried ammo; I was somewhat shocked by the prices they were retailing ammo at. I guess that is why they have ammo there whenever you want it. Econ 1.

I don't think WM is the only place with the availability problem. It's not like you walk into other places and there is an abundance of ammo. In the places where you do find ammo there is a HUGE markup. I personally refuse to surrender to gouging. Money don't grow on the tree for me. As for the time saving measure, calling WM first seems like a good idea.

Y'all got very worked up didn't you? Well since I stopped by I thought I'd post a little something.

Firstly, accusations of stalking are completely ridiculous and quite frankly humorous. You really have a tinfoil hat problem if you think being in a parking lot after buying one's ammo and seeing without the aid of a magnified optic, fully clothed and no cock in hand is stalking. Please reserve the title of stalker for someone that actually deserves it. You guys that throw things around like that really need to get out of the habit of that sort of thing. Ad hominem doesn't do much for your arguments aditionally it's rather unbecoming.

Secondly. AND HERE IS THE MAIN REBUTTAL. If xxx didn't own up to the license plate number WHO would have known?? If xxx was so concerned he could have contacted mods and they could have done what their job title suggests they should; MODERATE. A sloppy cleanup job was not the way to handle one post out of 2200+ informational posts. I've seen this mods work on here before and I'm far from impressed. See the whole polish mike incident. Very unprofessional for a representative of the calguns foundation on both occasions.

Identifying a license plate number does not seem to me to be private information UNLESS you link it to the owner. It was unbeknownst to me that xxx was a calguns member who would chime in and identify himselve. I was simply stating what I saw for better or for worse. I'm one for fairness and if theres something going on at a walmart that affects all of us here why not shine a light on it. xxx even cleared up the situation.

Now for the on topic part of this post

With the info like that, we might have a spontaneous CGF meet there...

How early is early for that MV Wal-Mart? That's Mountain View, right? Not some other MV town in California I don't know about?

Possibly a Wal-Mart in the fictional of Mevada?

Thanks for giving the thread back.

                Point taken.

Dropped in on a couple of WMs before lunch today.

Watt Ave WM in Antelope had noting except bulk pack shotgun shells. 100 rounds for $21 three inch birdshot.

Lead Hill Blvd WM in Roseville had lots of .22 MiniMags in hollow point or round nose. And bulk shogun shells.

I predict that when we find 9mm and .45 ACP on the shelves on two consecutive trips to WalMart that will be the sign of the end of the Great Obama Gun and Ammo Frenzy. Then this thread will die a natural death. All will shoot and buy ammo with great joy and we will tell the little ones lest they forget their blessings.

With all the conspiracy theories and scheming going on around here, it's most likely misdirection! It's probably the Milpitas store that is REALLY getting ammo in tomorrow. While everybody will be flocking to a bare MV store, he'll be rolling out pallets of .45 and 9 at Milpitas

Anyways: HB had nothing besides the usual shotshells, 30-06, 7mm, .17, CCI .22lr, etc.

Then we'll have to visit both places
