I'll pass...
Anyways, I have been seeing more of the defense oriented 12 and 20ga ammo at Walmarts. Especially slugs and 20ga buckshot or slugs. I thought 12ga 00 buckshot was kind of rare these days? When they are available,I see 15rounds of Winchester 12ga 00 buck at like $9. Much better price than most gun shops.
The wierd sizes like 3 1/2" 12ga 00buck and .410 slugs tend to sit.
Also strange is that I saw like 20-30 of some 50rd boxes the other day at Wal Mart of Rem lightning at $1.97, surprised they sat for awhile. I see they have $1.47 federal lightning 50rd boxes but I have never been able to score any. Also strangely I was at Lakewood recently and there was like 100 boxes of .22magnum ammo.
A good portion of it was missing last time I checked, .22mag ammo availablilty at WalMarts is usually quite good. Guess people just buy some when they strike out on other calibers if they have .22mag firearms. I've done so sometimes as I have 3 such firearms.
I'm also surprised desperate for ammo people don't buy the 50rd boxes of rem .22short at $3.19 and fire them in .22lr revolvers and .22lr single shots and such.
Heres a hot tip. For those willing to pay the speculative/gouge rates for resold WalMart .22lr bricks either on CG or on gunbroker, Norwalk KMart has 500rd bricks of Winchester dyna point at $30 a box, about the same price you see fed 550rd bulk pack being resold on here. I suppose if you are desperate enough for some ammo this could be an ok alternative.
