I am old fashioned. I just keep my load data on my Kestrel, so it can't incorporate direction and ambient conditions. It isn't perfect, but I can make minor tweaks to get me on the best fit line. It gets me quite close in a variety of conditions.

If I had a Kestrel...... I still lick my finger and stick it up in the air

I need to get one But I been eyeballing the wind for twenty five years. I'm not great at it but I'm good enough for the girls i go out with.

I need to figure out how to have a link on my web page for a bulk file download. I have 15.8 M of doc for a data book

I think a Kestrel with Applied Ballistics is the way to go. However, your wind readings don't mean beans except for your observation from where you are shooting. In real life, wind takes judgement and experience.

weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

You should check out http://ballisticxlr.com. The guy has a pretty awesome spreadsheet. From what I read he provides support too. I use it, it's been pretty awesome so far.
