A rifle fell out of a truck on a country road and the stock broke and there is asphalt stuck in the muzzle of the barrel. Any suggestions and what are the chances she's gonna be ok?

Well with a broken stock definitely not ok to shoot unless you want to hold it like a pistol.
Everything else requires a picture to see.Comment

Well the stock can be fixed or replaced depending on the model and money put into it
The asphalt can be pushed out with a rod. The rifle crown should then be cleaned and possibly re-crowned depending on if there was any damage.I'm a Gunsmith not a English teacher sorryComment

Thanks. Sorry I can't post pics for crap here. I'm gonna look up the thread. And yeah I wouldn't try to shoot it without the stock.Comment

Oh it is a remington 742 30-06 semi auto. Bolt seems in working order and the stock retaining screw bent. I will post pics as soon as I can figure it outComment

Well looking at the picture looks like there is a nick on the rifling bottom right at the 4 o'clock position.
I would definitely recommend crowning that along with the stock repair/replacement and new front sight.Comment
