    No.

He offered the jig on 11-14-2014.
he started this thread on 11-16-2014.

In those two days he came to realize that the Ares jig wasn't up to his quality standards.

I'm certain new guy will remove offer to loan/sell jig, 'cause you know, it's the right thing to do.

And as too AK/AR files, they held me down, gave me a wedgie and put sand in my V-JayJay. Virtually of course.

I've not recovered, emotionally, from the sand in my V-JayJay.

    I'm just saying...

Well if it was anybody else I'd have a problem with him trashing but Ares.... Sorry 4thSBCT could read them the riot act for all I care. along with a few others that made the banned list that I've forgotten about.

Ares is not worth anyone's money, they are out to make a name for themselves just the same as open carry guys were pissing off everyone

They have forever ruined their name in my book and usually i just walk right on by at the gun show. But once in a while one of the dip dunks will open his mouth and I just have to retort.

Interesting. Must have missed something. I've bought some stuff from Ares lately and have received what I consider to be a good product without delay. Maybe things have changed? I've only bought stuff in stock maybe that's the difference.

The lower I bought was really nice. So is some of their other stuff. Just not that jig.

Have you looked in to the jig from arsunlimited.com?

Guess 'cause I bought my ARES jig ages ago, they must have changed. I've turned out a couple lowers with it, sure they needed some " fine tuning" and touching up, bit hey, what doesn't when you're fabricating. The lowers launch the bolt and rifle goes bang.

Now, with what they've been up to lately, I'll shop elsewhere, lotta vendors out there.

What was the problem with the jig?
                  Too narrow?

EDIT: Just did a search on the legal proceedings. Now I'm MORE inclined to buy from them as I want to support them. The BATF is dead wrong and the more they get away with this **** the more we all lose. Best of luck to Ares in their case.

I went into Ares today in Oceanside and spent about 30 minutes in there. Watched the guy behind the counter handle three people ahead of me - did not rush a single one, spent time answering all their questions, and was very cool. I've read some pretty bad reviews about Ares but all I can speak for is my own experiences.

I recommend Ares to anyone who is looking for nice and patient folks willing to answer questions and help in what ever way possible. That's my $0.02 worth on Ares.

Once again...I never called you a name.
I said what you are doing is a "douche bag move" as in conducting yourself in a manner that would be akin to an act of douchebaggery.
Please...get a grip on the english language and realize when someone is calling out your motives, and not calling you a name. There IS a difference.
You are not a victim here....so please stop acting like one.

AFWIW...I've built dozens of AR platform rifles, milled dozens of lowers for myself and helped others by letting them use my equipment before the ATF shot that down.
And during that time I never once had to ask anyone for anything, or post a thread asking for someone to hold my hand.
I spent my time carefully searching threads and educated myself as to what I needed to do to accomplish the task.
Apparently, doing that is below you.....but the fact is you learn more by reading than by typing and whining.

I guess sniffing all them fumes in those AAV's has had a profound effect on you.
