Don't handle your rifles while intoxicated, and keep all your crap legal. No temptation there... unless I happen to be in Nevada or similar.

The only real concern here IMHO is an ignorant or crooked LEO turning your rifle into an AW violation.

One "fix" I've considered would be to safety wire (as in auto/moto racing safety wire) the lanyard hole in the bayonet to the FSB. It wouldn't look the nicest, but it would be undoubtedly be permanent short of a pair of wire cutters. Might even look ok with the right BFPU scheme.

That is a prize and something to follow. Like it and thank you for sharing. Really like the clean shorter/thinner brake. Not that stoked about the extended sling mount... But what other options do we have... That's about as good as you can get IMHO.

Would there be any legal issues with making the bend a little larger and adding some padding or hard material. Could this be interpreted as a stock? Just a thought and a rant.

It's a SVD type flash hider. I didn't get it from herehttp://www.tacticalaccessories.com/products/viewproduct.php?id_product=627 but this looks just like it. The sling plate I made after seeing a mount (VM1) I then based it on.

There's no worry if the sling mount can be used as a stock. There is no law or restriction on how short a stock is or how many are mounted to the rifle.

I at one point I was thinking about chopping down a crutch folder and welding to the rear trunnion on a underfolder so it sat in between the underfolder arms. Leave it about 4" long then you can fold the stock and still have a stock and not have to add a mile the the barrel. Yes it soul look strange but it would work.
