Adding AK Scope rail

Yeah, but with an AK the question becomes "is the barrel parallel to the top receiver rails?"

BTW- not too long ago there were some very cheap, genuine russian rails going around. they were'nt for aks. rpg or ags or some such. they don't work w/o severe mods.

i'm liking the look of the addax...but is there a latch on it like the krebs so can you still remove the dust cover?

Hey guys, I have an already build AK type rifle and wanted to know if its possible to add a scope rail and how hard would it be. Is it easy that one can do or a gunsmith needs to do it?

Any thoughts whould be appreciated.

Tantal sells a screw in kit, that is great. My friend installed it for me.

I put one of these on for a guy last week.
With the reciever clamped in the mill and using the dimensions provided in the instructions, it was quite easy to locate and drill the holes via the DRO.
I even drilled them a few thousandths smaller than recommended and tightened up the fit of the screws to the reciever.

The rail ended up perfectly parallel to the top of the receiver rails.

49.99. It seems easier to do then the way the factory puts them in, at least after the fact.
