    Lr 308 ejection help

So I picked up a lightly used lr308 and finally got it to the range today.
As with any new to me semi auto rifle I will check it out with a no go gauge. All was well.
Also as a new to me firearm I will load one round first, shoot, then two rounds and shoot. After that its go time.
So after I shoot the first round (glass was already pretty well sighted) I realize my catcher was empty. Huh.
Look in chamber thinking extractor problem and not there either. Huh.
It was stuck in the bcg face and did not want to come out.
Wrestled the lower off and was able to finally get the brass out. Inspected the brass and nothing out of the ordinary jumped out at me.
Same exact issue on the second round. Decided to pack it up.
At home with dummy rounds it cycled fine. I compared this bcg to another I have and tensions seemed similar on extractors. My next move was to use the other bcg and see if that helps.
Never had issues like this before with any ar15s and the other dpms pattern 308 is pretty new with no drama.

Brass was on good shape. Reloads that have been proven to be reliable and not especially hot.
Would really appreciate some ideas for what to look for.

    Thanks, Paul

The shells were stuck in the bolt face and would hinge back and forth under the pressure of the plunger spring. As if the rim of the case was pinned in the groove. After freed up, the groove looked ok as did the brass.

        how about a sticky extractor.

One thing i do on ever new to me weapon is a complete tear down and inspection even a factory new weapon get this treatment. Then it's oiled and greased if the case may be Bore cleaned and wiped dry, then put back into service.

I took it down and inspected prior as well. Nothing looked suspect. I will do again and take the spare bcg along with me tomorrow.

Is this with your reloads or factory rounds? Tried any other rounds? Perhaps a slightly out of spec bolt when it was machined? Perhaps a burr? May want to see if another factory round will fit into the bolt to see if it binds.

Are your reloads just neck sized or FL case sized ?
Been gone too long. It's been 15 to 20 years since i had to shelf my guns. Those early years sucked.
I really miss the good old Pomona Gun Shows.

                Good thoughts.
At the range yesterday they were reloads with highly inspected brass. Because I dont want to segregate ammo to guns, I full length resize (I'm still the weakest link in precision shooting)
Once home the dummies all cycled fine. They were out of the same batch.
I will have some different factory ammo tomorrow when I try again.

                  Update!
Took apart BCG and detailed that puppy. Lubed up and scoured the receiver as well.
Got her back out this am and she gobbled up both factory and my loads as well.
                  Life is good.
