One more AK...

I had a short work week for a change so I built one of my Egyptian crutch folder kits. After this I'm only going to build one more AK.

Did you paint the bolt carrier?

Well I look at it this way. What other thing could you waste your money on that would be detrimental to your health, family, or marriage? Ak's are not a bad addiction to have.

No, some of the crutch folder kits I bought looked like they were new when they got cut up. The only wear on some of them seemed to be from rubbing on other greasy parts in the bag. The Egyptians don't seem to put much effort into the painting though. The paint on Bulgy 74s seems to be high quality paint while the Egyptians perhaps have a different attitude.

Picked up a polish kit from Apex today.
Going to tinker around with fitting one of the $99 k-var Bulgarian 5.56 barrels into it.
Only thing I'm not sure of is if the bulgarian 5.56 mags will lock into the polish 5.45 trunion...

Nice build...I also have a newborn from this weekend thanks to "ATSAUBREY" in Visalia. Had a great time learning and building my lil'comrade. Still needs to be dura-coated but still pure awesomeness. If anyone in the Central Valley needs any help with an AK build give atsaubrey a holler, highly recommended guy.
