Frog lube

What do you guys think of this stuff ? Oil has worked for a long time. Just curious what experienced gunners think

It's pretty good...But Balistol is easier and works just as good

I use what works and don't don't really care about the next whizz bang product that comes along. I don't do the trends.

I use turbine oil and wheel bearing grease. So you could use 3 In 1 and grease and be done.

Good stuff-- better when heated. Non-toxic. Smells better than most.

Just used it today, put gun in sun,lather, wipe, lathered again let it sit in sun about an hour, them wiped dry. Love the stuff. Easy clean up after shooting.

I have an old copy of Guntest magazine from the 90's were they did a test on about 10 different gun lubricants, including a couple of the latest and greatest wiz bang over hyped products of the day. Turned out one of the best products from their tests was Rem Oil. Yep, the reasonably priced stuff that you can get at any Walmart. They attributed it's effectiveness to the fact that Rem oil is a synthetic oil. As stated above, you do not need to spend big money on the latest marketing scheme to get an effective lubricant for your firearms. I see no reason too.

sounds like the old tried and true work great, synthetics work great and frog lube works great just expensive and smells nice.

I'm willing to pay a bit more because of the smell. May sound like a weak reason, but it lets me clean the guns inside the house and not in the hot garage. And help my son with his homework at the same time. Time is scarce and I need to multitask.

The smell and the ease of maintenance are the primary reasons for me. It's a little more work upfront for much less hassle down the road. Youtube has lots of videos where people cover the value of FL, check those out.

Now my thing is the hype. I've got a bottle of Gun Juice in the garage that a neighbor gave me and it claims never use oil again.

The smells nice thing well you did any research you would know that you can scent any oil you like with essential oil from the health food store.
3in1 has citronella oil in it to give it that distinctive smell.
You could add mint, cinnamon, clove, or any other sent you want to pain old dino juice.

No don't get me wrong here I'm not saying don't use the stuff, or it's no good. Nope what I'm saying is I don't buy hype or trends. If I did I'd be sporting a flat brimmed fitted ball cap, White sunglasses, a Tapout shirt, skinny jeans, and DC shoes looking like a D Bag. Nope no thanks

I use what works based on years of battle field experience. the documentation is out there. CLP, LSA, and rifle grease works. If you don't like LSA or CLP then just use turbine oil, sewing machine oil, 3in1 oil it's all the same basic stuff and there is nothing going inside a weapon that requires any special additives or formulas.
