A sawzall will work too.
Just cut right through the back 1/3 of the receiver, then replace it with a new one.

Very nice! and the with beaver tail too,
wish i saw this before getting the hogue beaver tail with finger grooves, (am a huge hogue fan) might just get one of those anyway,
