    I found it on the private for sale ads. Forged is something you rarely come across for incomplete frames so I feel like I got lucky.

    Yep, I've put together a few for a friend and family, just wish I knew crap about machining.

          Don`t make your life complicated, go with KTO frame. It is very good to build on and got most of the cuts done. Casting will take you forever to finish, if you will not kill it in the process.

              Hi just went to Del mar Gun show this weekend,A guy was selling para ordance double stack 0% to 30% frame and he said Sarco has parts kits in stock,I went there and they have these frames for $29.99 or 5 for $20.00 ea and I think they had the 17-4 frames and other double stack frames.Look up Sarco 1911 and it is in there ad at the bottom right corner of the ad.one thumb short

                Thought sarco frames used a lot off para parts that are pricey and or hard to find.

                  A good SS frame with a blue slide looks great and I have done several with no problems.
