    Busted AR lower

This sucks. I have built AR lowers before and this has never happen to me.

While changing a trigger guard, somehow, the casting broke. Everything else is fine, It's now that, But the trigger guard can't be put back on.

Repair or replace the lower, That is the Question?

Has anyone ever repaired the little ears for the trigger guard?

    I myself feel like a D*** ***T.

It's happened to a lot of people. They make a grip that would cover the rear tabs but I don't recall who makes it.

This sucks! also the MaiD full kit includes a trigger guard and you can just make some faux tabs with epoxy or JBweld. That stark grip is just plain ugly!!

As stated above,Starks, but you may not like it, I bought one and it was rigid, but honestly, it does the trick.

The MIAD still leaves the ears exposed.

                    Starks... Looks good here.

Still, I wonder if the ear can be rewelded back on?

I have 5 receivers I ordered 3 years ago. All of the serial numbers are the same execpt the last number. I have XXX0, XXX1, XXX2, XXX3 The last receiver.. Dammage is XXX5.
                    Someone else got the XXX4

Most lowers are made of 7075 aluminum and really cant be welded. If you don't like the stark grip you can probably just epoxy the tab back on. It's not exactly a high stress part.

there is a reason my registered lowers still have the original trigger guard on them, even though it would be cool to have a newer design installed.

For $35 it's a nice fix. Better than gluing.
