The first batch of fixtures are being assembled over the weekend and will be shipping out next week unless we identify any issues. All fixtures will be completed by the end of next week.

DGoodale was kind enough to remind us that 2011s use a larger size ejector pin than a standard 1911. One more platform specific part. Good catch!

        Here's some tips / suggestions:

Buy all the parts up front.
Make a drawing and write down your measurements, the ones provided by L-10 are a good start. I've attached another for slide / frame. As mentioned in the doc's, STI's measurements differ slightly from JMB's and all the blueprints that are floating around.
        Measure 3x or 4 or 8x and cut/drill once
Start from the top down, fit the bushing / slide / barrel then barrel and slide to the frame.
        Cut rails
        Drill holes.
        Fit parts
        Type III anodize
        Dura/Cera/Gun kote

I'm machining my receiver for a C/P/L ramped barrel.

Or... (not having seen the jig)
Use jig to cut rails, drill holes
        assemble using drop in parts
        shoot.

Goober's been around the block on these as well with other frames and can probably also chime in. There's a lot less work on these 80%ers as the whole grip assm. is a complete drop in.

This advice will save many major headaches.

The pre-cut W/N ramp was a decision to keep the standing lug as thick as possible with a ramped barrel. You can convert a W/N to C/P/L, but the standing lug would lose some mass. Nothing I am sure you don't know

Yepper. I'm sure that's a good design choice. Now I have to decide if the lug will hold up. My decision is purely based on the fact that I have a C/P/L barrel waiting for a home. The cut would remove .0751. Drawing not to scale. Est. thickness of lug would be ~.1899 - .2279 after cut.

Received the jig, looks nice Andrew. I was sitting there looking at the slots just trying to figure out how in the world will a keyseat cutter have enough depth to cut the slot... I then rotated the jig and realized it is to use an end mill... Then in true man fashion, I read your instructions. LOL I like the blue ano.

Received the jig. I looks very good. Instructions are also very good. I think we are going to have some pistols soon!

We have a box of raw 80% receivers ready to ship out. Fixtures are the long pole.

Think these will hold up to 10mm power?

We had some free time and a ton of spare parts lying around, and decided to build a 9mm from one of our 80% frames. Not one hiccup all day.

Any suggestions on a cerakote color?

EDIT: Had to upload w/o audio.
