    Black Hole Weaponry ?'s

Okay so I recently bought a stripped VLTOR MUR-1A upper, and a Black Hole Weaponry barrel (that is still on the way) My queston is: are the m4 feed ramps already attached to the barrel? and when the barrel does get here, can I *technically speaking* take the barrel out of the manufacturers box and bolt it right up to my new upper? or is there more to it than that? like checking the headspace once tightened down.. or idk any thing else that would mess me up in the long run?

Yes feed ramps will come on the barrel. And yes you can just bolt everything together... Assuming that all the parts are new and made in the US. But why would you buy a barrel from Black hole weaponry. Did you do a search? Also search BHW. They have been having a hard time delivering barrels. They are very lucking that AR15.com only keeps a few months worth of threads. Is there a wait time and how long? Because most barrel from other companies are in stock and ready to ship. Also did they charge your card before your barrel was ready to shipped? If any company charges your card, then they need to ship the item within 7 day. That goes for any business. PM me if you want a link

Your barrel will be good to go. I bought one of their barrels a few years ago. It's one of the best I have. That's before they got bigger than what they are now. I waited about a month back then.

Surplus Ammo and Arms has these in stock and my barrel was very nice btw, and a free upper included... Just bolt it up and use a new Bolt assembly and it will headspace fine

I had BHW make a 24" barrel for my AR10 bench gun with fore and aft fluting, threaded for brake. It took about 4 weeks and is more impressive than I had anticipated.

M4 feed ramps are in the barrel extension and in the upper receiver.

Some ~short barrel full auto carbines had trouble feeding in full auto so they made the feed ramps bigger on the barrel extension and they had to extend that in to the upper so that the bullet tips have a clear path.

The problem comes if you have an upper with the ramps cut but a barrel without them, that creates a little hole below the barrel extension that can catch a bullet tip and jam your gun.

It's best to have your upper and barrel match but a mismatch with an M4 barrel and a standard upper is OK, you don't have to add feed ramps to your upper to make that match.
