Finally getting a rifle I've always wanted, AK underfolder. A polish variant built on a nodak receiver. I want to make this rifle featureless because all my other rifles are also featureless. I'm a sucker for functionality over looks-- despite buying an underfolder
-- and I don't like the mag locks on AK platforms.
1. Is a grip-wrap designed for a fixed stock AK not sufficient to keep it featureless? I test-fit a right-handed no-name brand grip wrap onto the pistol grip, and when I eyeballed the assembly in place on the underfolder, there was still room for my thumb to cross over the top of the grip fin, under the underfolder stock rail, and below the bottom plane of the receiver/top of trigger.
2. Silly question of the day: what law prevents me from having a featureless underfolder with the stock pinned in the CLOSED position? Assume that all OAL issues are addressed. (30" or more OAL, 16" barrel or longer)
If anyone has other suggestions for a featureless underfolder, I'm all ears. I run a MMG on my saiga and a hammerhead on my AR, but neither seem right for an underfolder. Also, question 2 is entirely hypothetical, since I'll just pin the stock in the fully extended position.
