    Looks interesting but why aluminum? I would think erosion will be a problem with the hot gasses.

      Yes, it does. But they'll throw you into prison for any amount of sound reduction. If it only reduces the sound by 1 decibel, you've got a suppressor.

          the law says that the device has to be "intended" to silence, and we all know that he intends to make a brake because he said it in the first post. You are completely safe!

              Not true in either case.
              You made some baffles.
              If installed in another type of can, they are functional, even with vents in them.

              The parts don't have to suppress sound themselves to be suppressor parts.
