Is this the type of product I can use to do a stoning job on a trigger?

Btw, in your opinion is it worth stoning the trigger? Or am I going to far? Should I just use 2000 grit sand paper and stop there?

That is a great product for sharpening knives.

The hone I use is only 1/4"X1/4"x4", sadly it is about 60 years old and the maker is out of business.......

Another idea

I'm always broke. I keep buying guns so I have to make do on other things. I clean up my triggers with a homemade setup. I have several pieces of steel that I squared up on my mill. I use very fine wet and dry sand paper instead of stones. I have some as fine as 3200 grit. If you have never done a trigger before you need to do some research. You need to be certain the trigger remains positive.

MSC has some 20 piece polishing stone sets on sale in their sale flyer on page 38.

I'm not sure if they are ideal but they are cheap.

Here is my AK stoning jig. This is to keep the trigger sear straight while the surface gets flattend and then smoothed out.

I'm trying to conduct a trigger job on a 92FS.

My goal is to get more "Intimate" with my 92FS while conducting pro-active repairs on my weapon as opposed to reactive repairs.

Basically in short:
1) Install a Short Reach Trigger + Polish/Stone
2) Install Wolff Trigger Conversion Unit + Polish/Stone
3) Install Elite II Hammer + Polish/Stone
4) Install "D" Spring Hammer
5) Polish/sand: Hammer Strut
6) Polish/sand: Trigger Bar
7) Polish/sand: Control Rod
8) Polish/sand: Sear
9) Sand and Blend magwell
10) Install Trijicon Sights

The issue I have is the following.
1) Finding an appropriate "guide." So far I have been studying the weapon schematics as it cycles in and out of battery to find control surfaces that I can improve upon.
2) A method to ensure weapon is within tolerances and surfaces parrallel
3) Debating purchases stones or going with high grit sand paper.
4) and above all to conduct all the above at minimal cost...
Not trying to purchase my own at home/ad hoc armorers room.
