    cost reasonable?

I wanted to find out from the forum here if anyone has had their shotgun barrels worked on, and if this cost is reasonable:

For silver soldering the mossberg factory front ghost ring sight and rebluing the barrel, $150. Reasonable?

Is this to be hot or cold bluing? and is the whole barrel being reblued?

That has to be the whole barrel. Oh lord we have a gunsmith that can't sliver solder.

With proper heat control a little bit of preparation. Someone with skill can silver braze the front sight on with out a reblue. You will have a very minor line of silver at the joint but no need to reblue.

There are guys that work on fine Double shotguns that solder on a new bead on a $80,000 gun with no re blue.

Thanks for the replies - I don't know the difference between hot and cold bluing. I believe he said it would be the entire barrel.
