    finish it, ano it. then use JB weld to pretty it back up, then paint it with gun kote or similar product. I know its getto but should work fine

            FYI welding if it is 7075 is not a good suggestion. The weld will crack and make the area weaker then if left alone.

                        Yikes, as a soon to be first timer myself, I was wondering if removing the Al in levels would be just fine, like how you drink water from a cup where it is full, 3/4 full, half full, then empty.

                                If anyone's wondering, I HIGHLY recommend drilling the safety hole and trigger/hammer pins FIRST ... I did mine the other way around and the mill didn't like it a whole lot.. it worked, but the other way would have been friendlier.
                                My AR is 7.62x39, so that if/when we get invaded, I can shoot their ammo back at them!
