They had a build party in Florida to work out any kinks before putting these on the open market. There is a thread on that here;
It looks like things went great and everybody had a great time.Comment

Another good 10/22 thread;
You need to be logged in to see these but it's worth signing up, Weapons Guild is a Great builders site.Comment

Maybe we can get a list of tools (drill bits mostly) needed to complete these along with any blueprints anyone can find.
I’ll do some searching after Christmas. I'm taking the wife to the airport this morning, the kids are coming in tomorrow, and we have a big Christmas day shoot at the gravel pit that’s a half mile from my house. Busy Busy Busy!Comment

There is not a 20moa cant. Honestly that is the first time anyone has asked for that in our 10/22's.
There are a few steps to these and I will post more on it after the holidays.
But you need to drill a few holes on the side, drill for the barrel, drill and tap for the V block, dimple for the recoil spring, more i'll post later.Comment

From what I have looked at in the past is that the 10/22 receivers don't require as much work as the ar15 80% receivers. Has anyone had any experience with finishing an 80% 10/22 before?Originally posted by barrageThat's because Excelsior threads are like toilet bowls. Hey, this like a familiar topic. With some familiar names.
I was at the Florida bp, that was the beta testing for the jig, I was one of the first to use it (only a couple before me) and had an operational rifle about an hour later (with a lunch break). I can say with no regrets, get one of these, heck get two. This is a better price than we got on the original 40 80%ers. I may have scrape up some funds myself.
couple pics to hold you, till I can find where I hid the file with the rest of 'em.
one in progress
a rack of a few of 'em
couple of 'em closer up.
looking forward to getting done back here in this N. Carolina swamp, and getting back to the mountains of norcal where I belong.cp.Comment

What machine did you use to finish the receiver? How long did it take you?

Well, it was a build party, we had two mills and a drill press set up for different duties. They can be completed with a drill press for the barrel hole and the rest can be done with a hand drill if your careful enough.
It took me less than an hour with a quick trip to burger king in the middle of poking holes. So say about 40 minutes for me. but I was there early and had the shop to myself, so no waiting. I also might add that I've done 6 scratch built 10/22's in the past, so I do have a little prior experience.
TM's team made a great jig, simple to use, and the bp found 2 minor improvements that could be made to it, and they did. I can also say that one or two of the guys at bp weren't the most mechanical (at the slightest bit) and managed to have operational rifles by the end of the weekend (with some coaching), so it's really not that tough.Comment
