    Romanian RPK Barrel

Does anyone know if the RPK barrels from green mountain will work with the Romanian RPK kits sold at Apex? I understand that there will be some fitting required but I don't want to be stuck with something that will absolutely not work
And does anybody have any experience with these barrels? How much and what kind of work was required to get it in functioning order?
Any and all information would be greatly appreciated

It takes a little bit of work, but they work. They are pretty nice IMO.

If Green mountain doesn't make a barrel that fits, someone will eventually do it.

If you can handle waiting for someone to get it right, buy the kits and be patient.

The Green Mountain barrels work great for the RPK. I just built one last month and had Nico do my barrel work.

        per Nico:
"RSB, and FSB barrel profile undersized, and in need of knurling. Hand guard retainer barrel profile too large, and needed to be turned down"

I don't believe it was anything terrible but I imagine Nico will chime in on that.

I've never knurled anything in my life. In my opinion that is a solution for a screw up on the barrel maker's part.

I heard that GM might be making another run of Romy RPK barrels that actually fit. It makes sense but who knows if it will happen?

Someone will get it right or the best option will emerge.

Absolute worst case you could always get a gunsmith to profile and chamber a barrel blank for you so it's not like you might miss a window to get that US made barrel.

Great! Thank you for the input everyone! One last question and I feel very silly asking this but can anyone tell me how to add the barrel to my cart on the green mountain website? Or is it out of stock and therefor the reason I cannot find the "add to cart" button?

Green Mountain is sold out at this moment. They are making another run in February. It'll be available again sometime in March.
