When it comes to buying things I usually procrastinate, do a little research, then procrastinate a little more.

I haven't bought a new firearm in 5 years which is very odd for me as I used to buy at least one every fall. So a few days ago I bought an Arsenal AK.

After contributing to a couple threads on the forum, which I also haven't done in quite a while, I stumbled across the thread on the Yugo M92 kits. When I first came across them everyone was talking about a group buy and there were 291 units left for sale according to the website 2 days ago.

Tonight, when I logged on, their were only 58. An hour later there were 35. I told the wife that I didn't think they were gonna make it through the night at that rate. I was really reluctant to buy because I just bought the Arsenal and I have never done an AK build.

Well my gut instinct got the better of me and I purchased one. Ten minutes ago, I logged on the website and it said "product cannot be found". Looks like I just made it!

Normally I would have hemmed and hawwed till I was out of luck, so Im feeling kind of proud of myself right now.

Like I said, I've never done an AK build before but I do have a Bridgeport mill, a 16x40 lathe, honing machine, boring machine, sandblaster, drill press, hydraulic press, parts washer and other assorted tools I use to rebuild Harley engines with, so I'm not totally screwed.

So, too the point finally. Can anyone point me to a good book or manual they are familiar with, that would instruct someone in detail on the proper way to machine and build a Yugo M-92 kit?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

were in the same boat..i been eye balling those kits for a day now...last night there were 280+ tonight there were 5 left then 30 minutes later there were 2 left so i bought them both...about 21 minutes after you posted this.

hopefully you live in the bay area so we could hook up and build em...or maybe ill hold on to them for a while.

Wow thats weird you got 2 after my post because the website said "cannot find product" before I posted. So either you got real lucky or I did an improper product search. Either way, Congratulations..! I wonder if the Calgunners ever got their group buy off the ground.

Those are virgin kits and I think the rear trunnion is not completely machined for the underfolder stock.

Beside the standard virgin kit build, that trunnion seems like the only issue.

Since you have a mill, I think you can finish the cuts and go but I would suggest buying an underfolder trunnion to copy or maybe buy the underfolder to use and just keep the virgin.

As for building it, I think Krink pistol builds are the way to go, that way you won't have to pin an extension on the barrel, fix the stock open or worry about 922(r).

I picked up a couple myself. There are more back in stock now though. So it may have been a marketing ploy or they are sitting on more kits

Some companies have stock systems that take out items held in a basket before you buy.

Someone probably is just seeing how many Krink kits they can hold.

If it was a ploy or not, it sure got a couple people moving. I am guessing they will be gone before the Holiday. Currently showing 121 that's a big jump from yesterday.
