    Ak pistol ?

    Hey Guys,

I have a question concerning the building of an AK pistol, I understand that it must be built as a single shot first before converting it to semi auto. This is done by blocking the magazine to not accept any rounds correct?, or is there another method of getting a 'single shot' AK pistol?

    Thanks,

The magazine must also be fixed to be single shot and also to avoid "assault weapon" status.

Another method would be to not drill the gas port making it a ~straight pull bolt action. I think that might count as a single shot, I'm not 100% sure.

Do not drill the gas port and do not trim the lower rails. That is what I do personally, with the lower rails untrimmed you can not insert a mag into the receiver. If the gas system is inoperable, it can't be confused as a semi auto at all. Make sure your barrel is at least 6" but shorter than 16". Also ensue that the over-all length is more that 10.5". Take a bunch of photos, then start your conversion to whatever you want.

The photos are for JUST IN CASE situations.
